Well summer is gone and we are back in school!!! I came back to Indy a coupe of weeks ago and I am still trying to catch up with life over here—I was away doing an internship and let me tell you that the stuff that we learn in class here @ Kelley really makes a difference when you go out into the real world. Near the end of this finance internship, all the interns (including me :)) had to do a presentation on our summer projects to senior executives—so for all of you that are taking public speaking class take advantage of it, what you learn will come in handy when you have to do presentations in the corporate world. For my I-Core fellow students, be sure that you are not wasting your time on this project; another part of the internship was a one day “I-Core” experience. We were given less than a day to come up with recommendations and solutions for real life business problems and we had to present that to the CFO—pretty intense, but if you’ve been through I-Core you’ll be that much more prepared.

So we are back in school—I am really looking forward to this year (not only because it’s my last) but because of all the things going on like WOW (weeks of welcome), new students, new classes, catching up with old friends, etc, etc. Enjoy the beginning of your semester and I’ll catch up with you guys in a couple of weeks-- JNJ
