Women's MBA Advisory Board
The charge of the Women's MBA Alumni Advisory Board
Supporting the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis MBA program, while striving to maximize the potential for women in the program, and ultimately, in the business community, is the focus of the Women’s MBA Alumni Advisory Board.
Priorities of the Women’s MBA Alumni Advisory Board
- Increase the number of qualified women entering the program and quality of their credentials by supporting the recruitment of promising female students.
- Increase the value of Kelley Indianapolis’ MBA experience by collaborating with and mentoring female students.
- Create a strong and growing network of MBA graduates to support each other while in school and after graduation from Kelley.
- Raise the visibility of Kelley Indianapolis in the community.
- Make a positive difference in the Central Indiana community through the unique contributions that we and others can make as women who are graduates of the program.
Through a strategic planning process in 2007, the Board chose the following areas on which to focus for the next several years. A committee of Board members and student representatives develops and implements programs for review and approval by the full Board:
- Mentoring
- Through the Kelley Enterprise Program and also on a less formal basis that individual students can apply for
- Networking
- Creating connections among board members and students and among the Advisory Board members themselves
- Increasing
- the number and presence of women MBAs as speakers in Kelley classrooms and at programs
- Marketing
- Identifying target markets and how to effectively recruit talented women to the Kelley Indianapolis MBA program
