International Consulting Trips

Immerse yourself in an emerging economy.

The international consulting course gives Evening MBA students an action-based learning opportunity to travel to and consult with a business in an emerging economy. Kelley partners with local universities and businesses for this 3 credit hour course to help students gain literacy of best business practices to employ while solving a business problem for a local entrepreneur. This course also challenges students to consider business models other than those they may have experienced here in the U.S.

Students will travel to this destination during the school’s Spring Break for a 10-day immersive consulting experience.

Emerging Markets

Upon arrival in the destination country, students get to know a local company’s challenges and work together on a solution.

Real-World Solutions

On the final day of the project, students present their business plan to the business owners, faculty and fellow classmates.

This course is a wonderful opportunity for students to open their eyes to population segments in almost every country that are often left out of our discussions in the business school.

This experience abroad helps my career at home because it serves as a reminder: When you're in management, you’ll always learn by getting your feet on the ground and speaking with customers and employees, not by sitting in your office.
