Wednesday, October 25 at 12:15 p.m. ET

Gregory L. Katzman, MD, MBA | Professor of Clinical Radiology and Imaging Sciences, IU School of Medicine

Rural communities have struggled to maintain adequate healthcare services for their residents. One of the central challenges is maintaining economies of scale. The VA Healthcare System is in a unique position to improve access and quality of care in rural communities through the development of a decentralized capacity scheme. This can be achieved via new or existing VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (aka CBOCs) in smaller communities, which use flexible or rotational service provisions to greatly improve access and quality of veteran care. Join us as Dr. Katzman shares his research and the possible future of rural healthcare.
